Original Description:
Antique, floral silk piano scarf, tablecloth, or bedspread. This colors are a black background with yellows, teds and greens. The scarf is Victorian and I would date it from 1900 to 1920. It is in excellent condition on the front of the scarf, and the embroidery is tight and wonderful. It is lined on the back in a black silk, and I believe the lining is rotten. It has several rips and tears, so either needs to be removed or replaced (However you really never see the back.) The fringe i...s in great condition, however, it has a section of missing fringe which is about 5". (Please see the last 3 pictures.) Priced accordingly! This piano shawl measures 46" with 7" fringe on all sides. So the total diameter of this cloth is 59" including the fringe. I have had this in my personal collection from the mid-1980s and I'm in downsize mode, so getting rid of some of my fabulous treasures!
