Mintage is only 248, 875. Set sold out in 2 ½ months. *2011-P– Struck for the 25th Anniversary of the release of the SilverEagle. Part of the five-coin set that was released by the U.S. Mint thatyear. Mintage is only 100, 000. Set sold out in 4 ½ hours. *2012-S– Struck for the 75th Anniversary of the San Francisco Mintbuilding. Part of the two-coin set that was released by the U.S. Mintthat year. Mintage is only 224, 981. With the Mercanti signature only 240 complete sets exist in PR69 and only137 exist in PR70. 7. HAND-SIGNED BY JOHNMERCANTI: Each coin label is hand-signed by John Mercanti who was the 12thChief Engraver at the U.S. Mint (as stated on the holder). He is theactual designer of the reverse of the Silver Eagle. Mercanti has also produced more coin and medal designs than any employee inUnited States Mint history (more than 100 as of 2006). Since 1792 (222 yearsago), the U.S. Mint has only employed 12 Chief Engravers and each set includesfour hand-signed signatures from one of them, John Mercanti. 8. PCGS: Each coin isauthenticated and certified by PCGS, one of the leading third party coingrading companies in the world. Each label features Mercanti’s signatureon the front and the specs and serial number printed on the back. GRADE: Collectors arealways looking for quality. These are perfection ofPR70.
