The lantern is approximately 5" x 4¾" at the base x 8¾" tall. It is galvanized tin with brass edged openings. I am not sure if these were intended to hold lenses. There were none present. It has a fitted metal font. The lantern is marked "Borden's" on the top of the sliding (open) front.
I have no idea of what or if there is a relationship to Borden's Milk. The presumption is that the lantern was made for company owned delivery wagons..
The lantern appears to have never been used and is in good to very good condition. Super size the listing images to view the condition in greater detail!
