This listing is for a vintage painting (29” x 23”) by the elusive Carlo of Hollywood from the 1980’s. From what I’ve read about these pieces, they are from a line of paintings on black velvet and this one may have been part of a set of 2, the other being an Asian man in the same style and medium. The painting, itself, is in good condition but there appears to have once been some water or liquid on the upper right corner of the piece that dried and flattened down some of the vel...vet. I considered having that section of the piece cleaned and and then appraising it, but don’t have the time or energy to do so. The frame is made of solid wood with an interesting woven cloth surrounding the actual painting. After purchasing this for myself and keeping it a few months, I’ve debated whether or not to keep it. I’ve decided to let it go as it really just doesn’t fit my home’s aesthetic. It is quite an interesting piece and I do love the vintage and unique aspect of it, but look forward to someone else to enjoy it.
