Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a uniquely colorful vintage mixed media pop art wall hanging that dates back to the 70s. It is titled "Double Bubble" in pencil, and is numbered as well (190/300). While we cannot make out the artist's name completely, it is also signed in pencil as well (see photos). The artwork features two gum ball machines side by side. The machines appear to be serigraphs on artist board. There are gum balls both... inside and outside of the machines. The ones that are outside are actually small round colored orbs that are adhered to the artist board. While we did not take the frame apart, the orbs look like they are constructed of wood (see photos).
Measurements: Including the wooden frame, approx. 19" tall x 26" wide x 1.5" deep.
Condition: Good vintage condition -- no rips, holes, tears, repairs, etc. to the artist board, and all of the small colored wooden gum balls are attached. There is a black cardboard square the runs the depth around the inner perimeter of the frame that needs to be re-adhered as it is coming loose in spots (see photos)... this is any easy repair that any frame shop should be able to handle quite easily. The artist board is also separating from the frame in spots - again, any easy fix that your local framer should be able to handle quite easily and inexpensively. All in all, a very unique piece that'd look great in any room!
The wood frame shows general signs of mild wear that are considered to be commensurate with age and handling - nothing bad at all - displays very well. There is a wire hanging mechanism affixed to the back side for hanging.
