ABOUT THIS CARD:
Vintage to circa 1916 M.J. Moriarty movie star playing card featuring silent film star RUTH ROLAND.Completists check your decks: this is one of four different Ruth Roland poses that I have seen on the Ace of Hearts in various MJ Moriarty decks (this sale is only for the one card that is pictured).Standard-sized playing card, measures approximately 2-1/2" X 3-1/2" with reverse side depicting a chariot scene, issued by the Movie Souvenir Card Co. and copyright 1916 b...y MJ Moriarty. The deck this card comes from was issued in several variations likely over a period of a few years beginning at the 1916 copyright date. From one of my favorite sets, I've seen well over 100 different cards from this 53 card set. This sale is for the single card in the title and shown above. GRADING - CONDITION:
Grades EX+ or 6/10 with light wear around edges and some faint soiling as shown. No creasing. Original gold gilt still visible along the edges. Both sides of actual card are shown. OTHER NOTES:
