Original authentic Antique (1900) Ashanti kente cloth from Ghana made of cotton and silk.
This is a " Men size " cloth and measures approximately 120 by 75 inches and it can cover a king , queen or full size bed. Ashanti (Ghana -Ashanti Region) Kente is a Ceremonial cloth that is hand woven on a horizontal treadle loom and put together by hand. A real piece of Authentic African art. Great condition, considered the most labor-intensive textile originally for... the king. Photos are actual representation of the listing.
Note: Most of our pieces have spent decades at least in two continents. A small split, scrapes, cracks and smell are normal part of their patina attesting to their age and extensive use.
