Exceptional bag with classic designs and primary color glass beads lazy stitched, sinew sewn, on hide. Beautiful crosses encircle bag and beadwork extends up both sides. There are the tiniest remnant seed beads left at opening. A special piece.
It measures approximately 11” total, 9” bag with fringe and 6.5” bag only. Sioux. Circa 1885. Fresh to the marketpl...ace.

This is how I answered:Hi, The bag is soft, but because of the beadwork on either side it wrinkles the bag a little when laying flat as the beaded areas slant inward toward opening and consequently stiffen the sides.The fringe is not hard, but does stand straight out when bag is held horizontally (much like parfleche does).I think it’s all as it should be when in good to excellent original condition.Thank you for your interest!-tasn
