*The paragraph below is history about the artist that I was able to find.*Jose Pinal (1913 – 1983) was a visual artist who was born in 1913 in Guadalajara, Mexico. He was often referred to as the “Mexican Picasso.” At the 1939 World’s Fair in San Francisco, Pinal then 26 years old, was commissioned to demonstrate his art at the Mexican Pavilion. Pinal returned to his native Mexico, and established a workshop in Mexico City where he and his apprentices created original religious, contemporary, and abstract figures.
