Original Description:
1850 US Civil War Sword Foot Officer's Sword. Dated 1861 on one side of the blade and “Tiffany & Co. N.Y.” on the other side along with “Collins & Co, Hartford, Conn”. overall very good condition with blade engraved fully on both sides with US in the design on one side and a shield and crossed cannons in the design on the other side. Minor stains on the blade toward the tip but none in the designs. Shark skin grip is in very good condition and the brass rip still retain...s perhaps 75% of the original gold gilt. 36 3/4” overall length. No scabbard. This sword is guaranteed to be old and original. See my other listings for more stuff. I’m working on selling off 40 years of collections this winter.Please ask any questions that you like.
