Herewe have a clean Vintage STANLEY BAILEY No. 3 Smooth Plane, Type 15 (1931-1932) 'SWEETHEART'. All moving parts operate smoothly. Japanning is at 90-95%. The Rosewood Tote and High Knob are in very good condition with no cracks or breaks. There is a long scratch at the rear and side on the tote near the bottom. And there is a small chip missing off the top tip of the tote spur. Handles have other misc. nicks and scratches. The cutter adjusting knob is ...the large brass version. The body, sole and mouth are in very good clean condition with a few nicks here and there. The body is marked 'BAILEY No. 3.' at the toe, and 'MADE IN U.S.A' behind the frog, near the tote base. The lever cap is the 'straight-shaped' slot type with embossed Stanley logo and a little orange paint. The full length cutting iron is stamped with the 'AA' Stanley Sweetheart logo issued 1923-1935. The blade is sharp but should be touched up before use. There are no owners marks. No cracks, breaks or repairs to this plane. ** Please remember to leave Feedback. I will gladly reciprocate. :-)
