This January auction I am continuing to downsize my personal collection, with several Gallantry Awards, Medals/Decorations as well as other quality Militaria listed. Feel free to ask questions and please enjoy!

Up for auction is an original WW1 Canadian Medal Trio, including a 1914 1918 War Medal, Victory Medal and 1914-1915 Star in good condition. The medals have a nice aged patina and good detailing, with the 1914 1918 War Medal having a nice silver patina. The medal depicts King George V on one side and St George on horseback on the reverse. The Victory Medal depicts a winged Victory figure holding a palm branch, and the reverse reads "The Great War For Civilization 1914-1919". The 1914-15 Star has a nice aged patina on front with good detailing, depicting a large star with crossed swords, the date "1914-15" in center and a large Kings Crown on top. The medal comes with its original ribbon in red, white and blue which is also in good condition. The Star is impressed:

"1988 CPL W.M. PAINE CAN: A.S.C."

Both the Victory Medal and War Medal are correctly impressed:

"1988 CPL. H.M. PAINE 28 BN CAN. INF "

Harry Marsden Paine was born February 15th 1874, in Kent England, and had relatives living in Qu'Appelle Saskatchewan. He was a Teamster by trade, and enlisted November 9th 1914 in Regina, Saskatchewan.

A nice WW1 Canadian Medal trio for your consideration, these would be an interesting research project and look excellent in any Canadian Medal, Commonwealth or general Militaria collection!
