Superb vintage Diablo headstall, beautifully made and of high quality.Bit end measurement adjusts between approx. 36” and 44”. Rich brown in color.Earpiece is a nicely matching replacement which is very similar. Cheekpieceshave BRAIDED LEATHER & RAWHIDE ACCENTS. Gorgeous hand-engraved DIABLOnickel silver ...sliding-style buckles, marked “Diablo Nickel”. This is thevintage type of nickel silver that is of excellent quality. Bit ends have beautifulVINTAGE ROPE EDGE ALPACA SILVER oval shaped conchos, which are each attachedwith two additional Chicago screws, so each bit end has a total of three—twowhich attach the concho and one to secure the bit end closed—see close-ups.Earpiece has three small rope edge ALPACA SILVER conchos as well. The Alpacasilver pieces look beautiful with the original Diablo nickel silver buckles. Headstallis in nice vintage condition. It shows normal signs of use, wear and age as isexpected with something vintage like this, but nothing abnormal or overlysignificant. Aforementioned replacement earpiece. Leather shows crazing hereand there as well as some aged cracking on undersides of cheekpieces and alittle at bit end loops, but again, nothing overly significant.
