Troemner calibration weights have been around for 170 years and the company is still an industry standard. The vintage sets are highly collectible. This set is particularly pretty for someone who is a collector. A number of pictures are included from various angles to give the bidder an idea of the condition. This may or may not be a complete set. It has a second row of empty recessed spaces to accommodate additional small weights, so there may ...be missing smaller weights. However, the same box may have been used for different size sets, so it is not 100% certain anything is missing. If so, the smaller weights can be replaced. Fortunately, all of the brass weights are present. The brass ones have to fit snugly in the holes, so they are more challenging to replace with exact copies. The only modification to this set is refinishing the lid. There is an acid burn on the top (visible in photos) that affected the finish near it. This was neutralized and only the top of the lid was refinished with clear lacquer to try to match the rest of the lid and box. Velvet lining is still intact. Brass has not been polished.
