Original WW2 USAAF A-2 Flight Jacket.
Made by Poughkeepsie Leather Coat Company Inc. of Poughkeepsie N.Y.
Online information states Poughkeepsie had only one USAAF contract for A-2 jackets in 1942.
Tag Size 40. Leather Name Tag reads "Paul F. Nay".
Horsehide leather supple and shows nice patina.
Original Talon Zipper works well.
Original knit cuffs and waistband show some snags and pulls but overall solid.
Shows use and wear but remains in good serviceable ...condition.
I have owned this Jacket since the mid - 1980's.
Own an original Poughkeepsie A-2 for little more than a reproduction.
I have been asked for measurements, they are as follows:
Measurements with jacket zipped up lying flat on table:
Armpit to armpit = 21.5 Inches
Sleeve from shoulder seam to cuff end = 24.0 Inches
Back from collar seam to bottom of waist band - 24.0 Inches
Across shoulders from seam to seam = 18.0 Inches
