You are bidding on a VERY NICE set of WW2 German Kriegsmarine 7x50 U-Boat & Ship Binoculars! The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6x30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7x50, 8x30, 10x50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service. Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stinger optics, and were issues to personnel on a limi...ted basis. This specific binocular was used by U-Boat crews, ships, and coastal artillery. Made by Leitz of a large tooled alloy and aluminum construction, these 7 x 50 power binoculars are in EXCELLENT used condition! The lens bodies retain all their original faux leather covering, and the focus adjustment still functions perfectly on both eye pieces! The optics are still VERY clear, with NO spotting, and are in PERFECT alignment! Left side is marked 7 x 50, the "beh" manufacture code for Leitz-Wetzlar. Right side is unmarked. Comes with the original rain shield, however the retaining spring is broken. Strap is original to this set, however one end is broken, and will need to be re-attached.
