Original Description:
Fascinating Japanese doll.  Head is about 1.75" from base of neck to top of head. Doll is about 5" laying down.  Head, hands and feet are paper mache.  Head has very tiny glass eyes.  They are brown/black and the whites are visible in the corners.  Hands, feet and head are all in perfect condition.  Head has a patch of natural asian hair attached to top with a headband around the front which is glued on.  There is no body, except for the silk outfit w...hich has the head, hands and feet sewn into it.  
I think this is a marionette, but does not have strings or sticks. 
He is really beautiful with a great deal of care taken to make his small face.  Mouth is slightly open.
