WWII 'Turn To Dim'
Panel Lamps
Here are five Amber Instrument Panel Lightsactually removed from the cockpits of Combat Aircraft at the Kingman WarbirdGraveyard 70+ years ago. In excellent used condition, this particular style has3/4" diameter, knurled stainless steel bezels with ROUND edges and plastic lenses.
All our Turn-To-Dim Lights come with everything needed for mounting... an Adapter goes through the instrument panel an...d threads into the Lamp Base. The adjustable Head then threads onto the Adapter.
They fit a 5/8" opening and will take either #313 28-volt bulbs for aircraft restorers or #5312-volt automotive bulbs that shine from full bright (for daytime) to pinpoint (for nighttime) to so you rat rodders can put some cool WWII history into your ride...
While these are from the Kingman Fighters & Bombers, this type of Turn-To-Dim Light was also found in the cockpits and crew stations of virtually every othertype of plane used by the USAAF & USN during WWII.
