This is a pair of 1977 Arthur Court Brass & Wood Dog Candle Holders that measure 7" high and 3 1/2" diameter. They are stamped on the bottom"Arthur Court Copyright (c) 1977" (both are hard to read). They are shown on page 71 in the book Arthur Court Designs: 35 Years of Innovation and are listed as Dog Handstandles. Each has some patina that could be cleaned if desired. They are in good condition. Please see pictures as they are part of the description!
