VFINE c1850 AUSTRO HUNGARIAN SOLID SILVER TEA / COFFEE POT CREAM JUG & SUGAR SET Hello, thank you for having a look at our auctions. This week we are offering an amazing selection of Sterling, Solid Silver and Silver Plate from all over the world plus superb Bronze items, a great collection of high end Fountain and Rollerball Pens, beautiful porcelain including Meissen, elegant Gold Rimmed Stemware, a nice collection of Murano Glass and so much more. Up for Auction with NO RESERVE is a top notch pre 1866 Austro Hungarian or early Polish 812 Grade Solid Silver 3pc Coffee Service. The Service is top notch quality and one of the most beautiful Services I have sold from this early a time period. I love the gorgeous Flower designs throughout plus the superb machine engraved designs. The Service also features wonderful handles and feet as well as fancy monogram cartouches with nice original owner's monogram to each. The Set is in really amazing condition, looking to have been rarely used with most of the Gold Gilding still intact to the Cream Jug and Sugar Bowl plus only minor signs of use including two minor dent marks. Honestly the Set is in about as fine a condition as you could hope to find considering it is over 150 years old. The Set is also only Monogrammed on one side of each piece, so you could display it with the monograms to the back if you wish. The Set is a large and impressive size with the Coffee Pot (also be perfect for Tea) measuring 9 inches tall by 9 inches long and holding 7 cups, the Cream Jug measuring 4-3/4 inches tall at the spout and the Lidded Sugar Bowl measuring 7 inches wide across the handles. The Set is marked with a 13 Loth mark which denotes 81.2% Pure Solid Silver and the 3pcs together weigh 1119 grams. With the piece being of such a large set I am sure most sellers would be offering the Pot on it's own, the Cream Jug as a Milk Pitcher and the Sugar Bowl as a Rare and desirable Tea Caddy, which would most likely result in a much higher price but we could not bare to split it up after being together for 160 or 170 years !
