UP FOR SALE IS AN EXTREMELY RARE AND VERY SCARCE ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1962 SNELL MEMORIAL FOUNDATION (*** BELL TOP-TEX / 500-TX ***) MOTORCYCLE AMA OR STOCK CAR RACING CRASH SAFETY HELMET SIZE 7-1/4
MARKED SIZE 7-1/4" WHICH IS A SIZE MEDIUM
MANUFACTURED IN ( BELL , CALIFORNIA ) - SERIAL NO. 177483
WOW!!! This is such an incredibly rare helmet since it... is one of the very first metalflake ( 500-TX ) models. I cannot find any other 1962 ( Toptex ) models made in Bell California which have the layer of fiberglass orange glitter metalflake!!!
SELLER NOTES CONDITION AS FOLLOWS:(***OVERALL FAIR GOOD ORIGINAL VINTAGE CONDITION SHOWING NORMAL SIGNS OF USAGE AND WEAR WHICH IS APPROPRIATE WITH THE AGING PROCESS SUCH AS NICKS, MARKS, SCRATCHES!!! THE ONLY FLAW ON THE HELMET IS A VERY SMALL CHIP TO THE FIBERGLASS ON THE LOWER LEFT SIDE NEAR THE EDGE OF THE BLACK RUBBER GASKET!!! THE INSIDE OF THE HELMET IS CLEAN AS IT RETAINS THE ORIGINAL NYLON LINING IN NICE SHAPE AND THE CHIN STRAP ALSO WORKS JUST FINE!!!***)
