This Hermes 3000 is in very good usable condition. I grew up learning touch-typing on a IMB Selectric and am surprised how easy the key pressing is on this fully manual typewriter. They key touch feature is pretty cool. I spent a couple of hours cleaning the unit but recommend having a professional do a tune up. I am selling this typewriter as is because as any collector knows anything can happen at any time that requires tuning or repair. The typewriter will also need a new ribbon. Th...is unit was made in France. I have not seen many of these made in France. You can clearly see this in the photo of the back of the unit. The serial number is: 7043244. From the research I did I believe this typewriter was produced in 1970. It does not come with a user manual but I can e-mail the purchaser the manual in PDF format. Thanks for looking.
