If you are looking at this auction you already know who Gerald "G Man" McClellan is and his tragic boxing story. Gerald was one of the most ferocious and hard hitting middleweight boxers ever and items from his career are very scarce. This is the holy grail of my boxing collection but since I've moved it's sat in a box for the last 5 years and its time to go to a new home where it can be appreciated, this is a museum quality piece.
These trunks were worn in one of the most thrilling... fights of all time when McClellan won the WBC Middleweight title from Julian Jackson on May 8th 1993 in Las Vegas, arguably his most career defining fight and victory. These trunks were signed and sold by Gerald after his brain injury and come with a LOA from his sister and caregiver Lisa, I omitted the top part of the letter which includes her personal contact info. You can see Gerald with the trunks in the photos, they were also signed years later by his trainer Emanuel Steward of the legendary Kronk Gym.
