VINTAGE IMPERIAL STETSON GRAY FEDORA HAT RARE TIJUANA WHIP - STITCH 1940s - 1950s 7
Item History & Price
From what I could find online, the re-order tag type on this hat was in use from the mid-1930s until 1957, and it seems that the newspaper ads for the Tijuana model ran from around 1950 onward. I could find almost no examples of the Imperial Grade Tijuana, with most being o...f lower grades. So date is a little uncertain, but I would guess it’s from around 1950.
Crown is about 4.75” tall at the highest point, brim is 2.75” wide. I consider the hat to be in very good condition, with few signs of wear, including some fading/slight staining on the inside crown liner and a light sweat stain on the top of the brim on the front near the crown (please see details in photos). It even smells good! Hat has been kept in a hat box for many many years, but please note the box is NOT included in the sale. I recommend that you use the close-up feature to fully examine the condition of this lovely hat.
