Corgi Toys No. 251 Hillman IMP. The model is in fully restored to new condition by an expert collector/restorer in Switzerland over 15 years ago. Original now age hardened tires are fitted to the original spun aluminum hubs. Original windows, including the operating rear window. Original lemon interior with steering wheel. Excellent base plate with proper rivets. In all the model displays wonderfully and most would consider it to be a mint-condition origin...al.
The box is an accurate older reproduction, It has good illustrations and given that it is over 15 years old displays very well.
In summary a splendid addition to your Corgi or Hillman collection. The model will not disappoint the most fastidious collector. It's so nice it actually deserves an original box!
A note about Code 3 models. There seems to be some confusion about what constitutes a code 3 versus a re-issue. Code 3 models are original models, many produced well over a half-century ago that have been meticulously restored to their original standards. They are not copies of these same models mass produced in Asian factories today.
