This is a very nice specimen consisting of a mass of small emerals green crystals of DIOPTASE on a matrix of small CALCITE crystals from the type locality of Altyn Tube, Karagandy Region, Kazakhstan. The specimen is 3.5 by 2.5 cms in size.
