Korea Era US Army M1 Ground Troop Combat Helmet "Steel Pot" w/Early OD Green Cover - Westinghouse Liner Complete Dated 1953 - Very Nice Condition - RAREUp for auction is a Korea Era M1 Ground Troop Combat Helmet. More commonly known as the "Steel Pot". This is a Complete M1 Helmet. It is used, see photo's for Condition. This helmet consists of the following componets:Rear Seam, Swivel Bale, Steel Pot, with Original sewn ...chin straps, nice condition. OD Green Paint no major dents or damage.Fiberglass liner, w/permanet canvas OD Green HBT suspension, with Westinghouse Logos. Very Good Condition. Early style liner, with no marking on the suspension. Liner has been painted white. Leather sweat band w/all clips Nice Condition, leather is soft and pliable. OD HBT webbing. Markings show a faint 1953 date. Nape Strap OD Green, Nice Condition, with no legible contract date markings.Original Brown Leather Chin Strap, nice condition, some surface cracks and wear.Early OD Green Helmet Cover. Excellent Condition, no fading. These covers were not marked or dated. These covers were used during the 1950's until the early 1960's. The OD Cover and Chin Strap are worth $60+ alone. This is a great price for a Correct & Complete Early Vietnam Era M1 Combat Helmet.
