Original NVA DDR NVA 1960 -70's East German Artillery Senior Officer Shoulder Boards Set. Correct 'Red' Specialty Color.
These are the older type of Shoulder Boards that were manufactured using the same type materials & construction as the WWII German Wehrmacht Shoulder Boards.
Before 1985, these senior officer shoulder boards were made using woven Genuine Aluminum cords that measured 2.5 mm wide. In 1985 as a cost saving measure, these boards were made us...ing a silver colored synthetic cord that was slightly wider & not as attractive.
Therefore, these early NVA shoulder-boards can make a suitable replacement for the WWII German boards.
The items shows normal signs of use, but does have some light wear and blemishes to it. (see Photos).
A true Cold War collectable! This has been in my militaria collection for over 20 years.
