This is a signed print that was originally sold by Wild Wings. It is the Black Lab by Dietmar Krumrey released in 1981. Measures 20 1/4" x 19 1/4" unframed, and 23" x 21" framed. It is a limited edition, and is numbered 59 out of 850. The frame is gray in color, and the picture is double matted off white and black (pictured). The ...print is in good condition, and the framing as well except for single tear in the paper backing (pictured) and a couple of scrape marks on the frame itself that are very minor (and did not photograph well). Please view all of the photos prior to buying as you are buying what is pictured.Dietmar's works are part of many private collections and prestigious exhibits, including the Smithsonian Institute and National Wildlife Art Exhibit in Kansas City. The artist was born on March 11, 1948, in Wassel, Germany. Dietmar Krumrey immigrated to America with his family at the age of three, settling in Elgin, Ill. The Krumreys moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where Dietmar developed his deep affection and respect for wildlife, so evident in his art. He graduated from Manistique High School in 1966, attended the Interlochen School of the Arts, and the American Academy of Art in Chicago. Dietmar also had been employed as an artist for Hallmark in Kansas City, Mo. He left Hallmark to pursue his dream of freelance wildlife art, returning to the Upper Peninsula to live and paint near the forest and lakes which inspired his work. He passed away on August 3, 2016.
