an absolutely lovely silver & enamel pendant by the sought after Anglo German partnership Murrle Bennett, it is a stand out piece with wonderful enamels in vibrant turquoise blue which are so typical of the art nouveau period the pendant measures 1.5" top to bottom excluding the bale loop, so a real statement piece, it is of stunning quality and would have been sold through various high end retailers the like of liberty & co, connells of cheapside etc, there were seve...ral designers using this medium of design and decoration during this era, amongst those the most notable were, theodor fahrner, jessie m king, archibald knox, murrle bennett(all of whom produced designs for the Cymric & tudric ranges of silver & pewter ware for liberty & co) and james fenton.this ranks along side those in both design and quality of manufacture.it is marked to the back MBCo for the maker plus 950 for the silver purity, it is suspended from a delicate and intricate 17.5" silver chain with a strong functioning ringbolt clasp.it will be sent in a new velvet lined gift box which is included in the sale.please feel free to ask any questions and i will reply within 24 hours, this is a genuine piece and should not be mistaken for the unmarked copies and reproduction items offered on ebay.postage is by special delivery in the u.k and airsure or signed for to international destinations.
