A deep red pear-shaped 5 carat garnet is set above an ornate pierced gallery on this solid 14k gold pendant. The large gold pendant hangs from a sturdy bail and a 14k gold snake chain. The 13.1mm x 10mm x 5mm garnet has been gemologist verified as a garnet gemstone. The inside of the bail is marked, "14k" along with an "A" inside of a circle. The chain stretches 19 inches long and closes with a lobster clasp. The clasp is marked, "585" (14k) and the oval tag next to it is marked, "14k"... with a sunray design. The back of the chain's tag has a patent number and "Italy". The pendant is in very good vintage condition with minor age wear, while the chain is a little rough. The chain has squished links and kinks throughout the length. Please see photos for condition and detailed measurements below.
