After the death of E. Nardi in august 1966, the Nardi company manfactured steering wheels till 1969.The old original Nardi Company was then purchased in 1970 by Personal.Personal then owned the E-Nardi trademark.This steering wheel was manufactured by Personal....All Personal manufactured steering wheels were embossed with Personal on the front of the lower spoke and had the manufacturing date embossed on the rear of the lower spoke.This steering wheel is embossed with the manufacturing dated 2 - 70 (which is February 1970).This Personal steering wheel as well as the hub which is embossed 360 and horn button embossed Personal is THE FIRST EVER MANUFACTURED STEERING WHEEL MODEL to fit the PORSCHE MODEL 911 - 912 (356 B-C has same Hub/Boss)This steering wheel is similar to the MOMO PROTOTIPO Le Mans which was in fact a later 1970's copy of this Personal steering wheel. (one is for sale for over $4, 000.00 on eBay)
FOR SALE TO THE CONNOISSEUR - COLLECTOR ONLY.The hub embossed with 360 is the first ever manufactured hub to fit Porsche 911 - 912 by Personal - NARDI (+ fits 356 B C same hub/Boss)Later from 1973 a similar hub was manufactured by Personal/NARDI embossed with 3600.The horn button with the Stuttgart Crest is the Original first generation horn button ever manufactured by Personal / NARDI.Embossed as well PERSONAL - from 1975 those horn buttons were embossed with NARDI.The leather is original and very soft and has the original sewing.There are minimal markings because it's been in a box for 50 years.Has the original black color (has not been made darker with shoe polish!)
