1968 Vintage Rolex 1675 GMT Master, Mark 1 Long E Dial ref# 1675
I purchased this GMT from my mechanic, Manfred Filsinger last Fall. Manfred purchased this GMT in Memphis, Tn sometime around 1969 from Broadnax jewlers here in Memphis. The watch was serviced by a local watchmaker for a long time. I wore this watch for about four months. When I purchased the watch, it had a bracelet that looked like the correct band, but closer inspection revealed it was a Tag-Huer band. I or...dered a NOS 78630 band here on ebay from Italy. The fliplock buckle was sitting in a drawer from an old watch that I had years ago, it's a service replacement or possibly aftermarket. The bezel was replaced during a service. I had to use a magnifying glass, and read the serial number 2, 3284xx . I have not polished the watch. The movement and dial are original.

Although the pictures speak for themselves, please also note the following:
DIAL: The dial is 100% original and has its Tritium luminous material mostly intact. Again, please see the pictures. Aside from this issue, the dial is free from scratches or other defects. The dial has a deep rich black color which is a beautiful contrast to the yellowing markers. Dial does not glow.
HANDS: The original hands have Tritium luminous that matches perfectly to the dial. Hands do not glow.
MOVEMENT: Original Rolex movement was serviced by a local watchmaker last year and currently running to COSC specs.
CASE: All original stainless steel case. The chamfers can be restored by an experienced craftsman, but I have decided to keep the watch as it was found and let the new owner decide how to proceed. The case back is dated from 1968. The serial number and the reference number are clearly visible between the lugs with a loop. The caseback says IV 68 on the inside.
BEZEL/INSERT: The watch has an insert that appears to be a replacement from a past service. The bezel functions properly.
CROWN: The watch has an original Rolex crown , the prior owner had an 18k crown on it but also gave me the original, which I replaced.
CRYSTAL: The watch has an original Rolex crystal.
BRACELET/BAND: The watch is sold on a new old stock 78360 bracelet with 580 end links and a clasp that is not dated.
