This is a lovely original wood carved and painted scene by the famous wood carver, Herbert "Andy" Anderson. I don't know when it was produced, but is in very good condition with an aged patina and several miniscule spots without paint. The figures are well carved, and faces are well carved and painted with a small missing chip in the bride's painted lip. The removeable shotgun was carved separately and fits into an opening of the father's hand. The letters spell...ing" Andy" are carved on the back of all the characters except the Bride. This carved scene differs from others that I have viewed in that the women's dresses are painted in solid colors without any additional surface designs. The base is 10 in. long x 6 in. wide at one end 3 in. wide at the other end. The father is 10 in. high. The mother is 7 2/8 in high. The groom is 7 15/16 in. high. The bride is 9 in. high. The preacher is 9 in. high. The shotgun is 7 1/2 in. long. U.S.P.S. shipping and insurance costs are based on buyer's destination.
