1979 Mongoose Motomag Vintage BMX bike - survivor. Rare complete Motomag, (except for rear tire) Classic vintage Mongoose Motomag that is fitted with the optional "Wire Wheels". It appears to be all original with the exception of the rear tire. This bike is about 41 years old and naturally has some rust and flaking paint. It shows the normal wear of use. I do not see any cracks bends or rewelds. This is an excellent restoration candidate, or for display as a survivor. Wheels spin... straight. The tires have usual cracks and rear has dry rot. Torn seat cover. Front hub stamped C.S made in USA. Serial Number on bottom bracket is Cl9 218605. A cool window to the early days of Bicycle Motocross Racing. Personally I would show it as is, age and battle scars and all, but I love "Survivor" bikes that just stepped out of the 70's, It would surely be a fun project for full restoration as well.
