Vintage Zenith 7G605 Bomber Grille Shortwave Radio

This radio came from Grandmother's house. She bought it for WWII. I think it is marked 7/42 in her handwriting, which I assume is the original purchase month.
The power cord is old and cracked, and most of the wiring is same. It has been stored in the basement for many, many years. I would not plug it in. It includes the original Texas dust and everything you see in the pictures.
It seems to be a solid piece. All wiring is aged and needs to be ...looked at by a serious hobbyist or someone interested in restoring it. The clear plastic piece over the dial is warped, but the dial itself is in very good condition. Fabric with the B17 is in good condition. Handle is strong but worn. Hinges and latches work fine. Metal hardware is somewhat tarnished or corroded. There is no instruction book. In no way do I imply that this radio works - What you see is what you get!
