1982 Vintage Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer JRC4558D Guitar Effect Pedal
It is with mixed emotions I offer my 1982 vintage Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer guitar pedal up for auction. I am the original owner, purchased as a teenager in 1982. It has been a faithful friend but I haven't turned it on in many years so it's time for someone else to enjoy it.
This is I guess now considered to be one of the rarest 'Holy-Grail' overdrive pedals. I had it modified sometime in the 9...0's to change the two resistors in the output section into a TS-808 version so it now ticks all the desired boxes: black label, JRC4558D op amp chip, MAXON circuit board, TS-808 mod, original knobs and original paint.
It has only ever been used in my smoke-free house and is in excellent condition. The battery compartment is clean and the battery cover is present. It includes the original TS-9 Owners Manual dated Dec 1981 (see photos). It is fully functional and the overdrive still sounds as sweet as it did when new in the 80's. I have taken many hi-res photos and I can answer any questions you may have.
