The figurine is hand made and hand painted in soft pastels, adornedwith intricate gilding. The figurine depicts a beautiful young courting pair, wearing elegant clothes. The figurine is very elaborate and made in fine details, the pair looks almost alive with lovely expressions on their faces. The companyhad been established by Voightfamily in Sitzendorfin 1840.The figurine is hallmarked onthe bottom with the Dresden Sitzendorf Blue Mark, two parallel lines, crossed by thirdline. The reference to the similar trademark can be found in the “DresdenPorcelain Studios” book by Jim & Susan Harran, page 181.The figurine is as seen in the photos.Measurements:The figurine measures approx. 6.6" talland 3.6" wide across the base.Condition:The extraordinary figurine is in good antique condition. Theonly imperfection to note is the following: the top of the cane in gentleman’shand and the top of his right thumb are missing. The imperfection noted aboveis barely noticeable and otherwise, the figurine has no chips, cracks orrepairs.
