Chronostop? These are watches with a SINGLE pusher to operate a stopwatch function. Press the pusher once to start the stopwatch hand. Press it again (& KEEP it pressed) to stop the stopwatch hand (& read the time) & rele...ase the pusher to reset the hand to zero.
The 865 movement was introduced in 1966 & 124, 000 were made. The 920 movement was introduced 2 years later in 1968 & 61, 000 were made. Both of these movements were only ever used in Chronostop watches. The both have 17 jewels & run with 21, 600 Bph
Initially created to represent a "youthful" audience these were produced in a range of both colors and styles
The Case A classic watch of its period at a full 34mm (excluding crown & pushers) and 37.5mm (inclusive) 39.5mm Lug tip to lug and 18mm lug spacing.Complete brushed steel finish throughout Screw-down case back fully enterally signed and serial numbers Original Signed Ω crown at position 4 & "chronograph" pusher at 2
Case is in excellent condition nice sharp radial brush finish and polish case sides and lugs
The DialA classic Chronostop dial outstandingly preserved near MINT condition "Powder" grey dial this is an original dial and not a redial nor an omega service dial T- Swiss Made -T Present at 6 important as this is lacking from omega service dials each silver index it tipped with a tritium dot and the larger index is inset with tritium, all now faded to a creamy yellow, as of course expected. Original "Stick" hands in superb condition, fantastic vivid orange centre sweep seconds hand. No definition lost on the outer heavily detailed "checkers" seconds trackDate aperture at 3
The Band ALL ORIGINAL Full Length Milanese, These are bloody rare straps and collectors will pay handsomely for these alone
