Vintage Peterson ' S Block Meerschaum Estate Pipe Unsmoked NOS

  This is a pipe I almost wished I had gotten smoked. I say almost, while I cannot deny the value of a pipe like this, but it's a pipe if it was smoked the only delay of me firing it up would be the amount of time it took me to clean it up. Keep in mind this is coming from a seller's perspective that also smokes. However, if the beholder finds themselves torn as to smoke or not to, I would encourage them to do the former. I can also see how someone, like the previous gentleman who... had this pipe, held on to it as a collectable. Now, when I said I wish it was smoked, I am coming from the perspective of someone who owns one Peterson's meerschaum pipe, mine being from the 60s. It is a pot shape, and after I considered listing it I changed my mind fast after I lit it up because it smoked so well for me. I wonder about the previous owner, if he could not bring himself to light up such a beautiful pipe, or received all his joy from owning and looking at it. While it may or may not have brought him the full potential of enjoyment it could have, the beauty of estate pipes is it is now ready to be enjoyed agin. This will be a fine smoker first light, and always deliver a good smoke with a lot of flavor. 
If I had to date this I would say it was made in the mid 70s early 80s at least, but could go back to possibly the 60s, and held on to as a collection piece. It came to me in this box inside the original plastic sleeve. It is a beautiful pipe, unsmoked, a genuine beauty. I have a pot shaped that I do smoke and it performs top notch, as this one will. I can see how some may feel a slight amount of apprehension to smoking an older historic pipe. It is light, and fits in the hand nicely. It is a standard size for it's shape, not xl.  This is one of the few, since unsmoked, that sells itself, but please contact if you have any questions.
