Th...is McIntosh C504 now looks and sounds incredible especially with its new front glass panel. No blemishes on this one! Highlights of the Crossed Paths Vintage Complete Servicing™- First and foremost all functions and inputs work properly- The unit was thoroughly cleaned inside and out as well as the internal controls were professionally cleaned and properly lubricated to ensure excellent performance. All potentiometers were professionally cleaned and lubricated as well. - Our extra attention to detail included cleaning all of the knobs, switches, faceplate, dial glass, case cover, bottom cover, internal chassis and rear connections where they are completely detailed, deep polished and ultrasonically cleaned where appropriate. This cleaning process alone takes hours with the complete dismantling of the unit.- All of the bulbs were serviced while the unit was on the bench. Our preference is to use the correct original style lamps and indicators to maintain the original look and the end result speaks for itself with illumination lighting that looks fabulous. - All service manual calibrations were performed throughout the unit ensuring that all factory specifications are met.- All inputs and outputs will work as they should.- With this servicing, this C504 is ready for many years to come!

I had been considering a receiver restoration for a Pioneer SX-1050 that I had purchased a year earlier. There were issues with the mode switches going in and out, and the receiver had lost its sparkle. I knew it likely needed a recap. I found Crossed Paths Vintage on eBay and the service description was very professional...Once completed, the results were so much more than I expected. The receiver was cleaned, tuned, recapped, and the wooden cabinet surface finish brought back like new. The dial face sparkled and the aluminum finish was bright and clean. The FM Tuner was dialed in, and I was able to listen to NPR during my work day. All inputs were balanced and clear from analog tape, vinyl to Amazon HD Music on AUX. The restoration brought back the sparkle and warmth to my music. Listening to Zeppelin, ELO, Death Cab, Black Keys, and even Flo Rida. Vocals were crisp, instruments were bright and there was an improved depth of stage. Bass was tight and present. I could have music on all day without fatigue, and without feeling something was off. Just welcomed home a completely serviced ST-2080 (new caps, alignment, calibrated, solder joints, bulbs, deep polished, etc.) from Crossed Paths Vintage in TX - they did an absolutely beautiful job. Sounds incredible, warm & rich, and the original front panel design & lighting (no LEDs) is gorgeous. Nice deep bass & crisp highs, which my JBL J216s bring out beautifully. To my ear, they're a perfect match for the 83wpc of the Realistic. Great presence and depth even at relatively low volume levels. The STA's phono stage has a very quiet overall noise floor. Lastly, the tuner section is top-notch with excellent AM/FM selection sensitivity and stereo separation.
