This is a listing for any Pre-80 case for a vintage McIntosh Tuners, Pre-amps, amplifiers, receivers, etc . Have owned awoodworking business since 1981 and it’s time to have some fun. These aresolid wood cases built for a select amount of vintage receivers, pre-amps andamplifiers. First off this is not like the bulky plywood cases built with a jig saw;table saw and a couple of bar clamps that you see around. This is a union ofAutoCAD, Vectric, Art soft and an industri...al 4x8 CNC. I lay up a panel of 4/4hardwood, sand it and index the CNC to cut both sides. This is my interpretation of how these shouldlook; if you want a replica of the crappy cases these companies built in thepast I am not your guy. I can build any pre-80 case for $300.00 shipping. There are some hardwoods that will increase that to $360.00 plus shipping and the acrylic top pieces for the tube stuff is $400.00 plus shipping.I also build matching cases as you can see in a couple of pictures. Grain front to back or side to side. Logo or not.The cases are dye and then mineral stained, two coats sanding sealer and three coats nitrocellulose flat lacquer.I have a ton more pictures if you need.
