TELETYPE MODEL33 TELETYPE RUNNING, TYPING, HOLE PUNCHING. Up for bid is a partially restored Teletype model 33 KSR from the 1970's. Here is what I have done: The main cover, platten cover, keyboard and stand were washed with hot soap and water. The chassis and mechanism were soap and water washed, compressed air dried, and sun dried. The motor was removed, cleaned, lubricated, tested good and re-installed. A faulty motor starter capacitor has been replaced. Several parts have been proc...ured and are included in this auction. Insides look good with no damage or corrosion, only light rust in the pan. I gently, (no tiny springs lost), air hose and solvent washed the mechanicals. An air dry and WD soak/30wt oiling completed the work here. After completing repairs and cleanup, I was rewarded with a running, typing and tape paper punching machine. The type keys still need adjustment. All keys work with very dark print. The clear plastic cover is fogged. Teletype includes all cables, clear and beige typeset cover, stand, paper tapes new and programmed. A new hammer, good belt, paper roll center, box-O-tape, new ribbon, spare paper knob are included. The all-important paper holder and clear chad box is included. Clear paper tape reader top guide is included but plastic-crazed. The stand power supply is included, untested. This is the cleanest, best working model 33 that I have seen in years barring restored units. Shipping can be done. No warranties are implied or given. Sale is final. Nonpayment in three days voids auction. No returns. US sales only. Thank you for viewing my auction. On Feb-04-21 at 22:28:52 PST, seller added the following information:Hello from AZQ. Yes, the stand is included with the stand mount paper tape reader power supply. Also included is the clear, (yellow), chad box. I do not have the broken front pieces. The top platen cover is foggy, not scratched. I can prepare the teletype for shipping by removing the platen cover, paper rack, etc. and wrapping separately. I can then wrap the main body with several layers of heavy, double-sided bubble wrap and plastic-strap it down on a small pallet. I can carefully load this on any truck with my FE loader. Thanks! AZQ
