This APPLE hard drive is in very good physical and operating condition, including its cable and connector. It was tested on a Macintosh Plus computer (not included) just a few weeks ago. The Mac came up on the OS that was installed on this drive which is version 4.2. As shown in the pictures, there are a few application programs installed on this drive. Give...n the age of this item, I have to sell it as-is, no returns and ship to CONUS. I can tell you that I ran this drive for a few hours, shut it down and the next day I ran it up at least a couple more times and it worked fine. I certainly hope it will provide the same result for you but keep in mind its age and a trip in shipping. It will be well packed of course. The Mac I connected this particular HD20 drive too, is not included; that Macintosh has been sold and it shipped out in an earlier auction. I hope this drive finds a good home with another early Mac lover. I simply have run out of room to keep some of my extra, older equipment.
Many good times at home and at work since 1985 on the Mac OS and 68000 based computers, external accessories and related software. This particular drive and the Macintosh it was used to generate the technical configuration of many multi million dollar TANDEM Non-Stop, Fault Tolerant Mainframe computers for use in large and small Metropolitan newspapers all around the world, including places such as LA Times, Sydney Morning Herald, Reuters Wire Service, and the list goes on. This history might not matter to you but this hard drive earned its keep, and its hefty original price back in the day was more than covered by the work I accomplished with it.
