You have to think of Simon Bisley as the outlaw biker of comic book art. Biz, known to accomplish his paintings in car paint, he is one of the most accomplished artists to emerge from 2000A.D. After his work in the British magazine, he moved to DC comics in the states for the character Lobo from Legion of Superheroes , Omega Men and Teen Titans. His first submitted artwork to 2000 AD was seen by Pat Mills, which inspired Mills to relaunch the ABC Warriors strip, with Bisley as artist, ...He started with work on ABC Warriors in 1987, later moving to Sláine and Judge Dredd.The poster we’ve offered was printed in Britain in the 1980s and features Celine one of Beasleys characters drawn for the 2080 book, it’s for color representation is printed on matte paper and features Beasleys slashand paint style so well regarded by his audience. It’s a great poster and a great representation of Simmons work, rarely seen in the states and distributed and very small numbers during those days early days of the comic book store market. It’s in good shape for its age, now about 35 years with bright colors and white stock. It would be an excellent addition to anyone’s Judge Dredd or Simon Bisley collection , looking good framed on the wall of a store, bar, library or entertainment room. Very few Bisley posters have been offered, particularly from this era of his work.
