The post-war baby boom coincided with the regular televising of NFL games, and sparked an explosion in the popularity of football among America's youth. This pair of Vintage 1950s BLAICH SP-2 KID'S FOOTBALL SHOULDER PADS are in excellent condition, with only some light scattered scratching, spot darkening, and age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the pads are in excellent shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or other damage to the crisp orangish brown plastic constr...uction. Most interestingly, they boast fully articulating shoulders, sport the original white cotton laces at front and back, and are stamped at the right and left chest with their maker and model, "BLAICH" and "SP-2", respectively. They carry fully intact elasticized bands at the undersides, and are a beautiful example of rare, original Vintage 1950s BLAICH SP-2 KID'S FOOTBALL SHOULDER PADS.
