This book was originally published by Simon and Schuster in 1951.(Golden Press and Western Publishing published the series in later years.) True first editions have "A100100" printed inside the front cover at bottom. "A" means first printing, "B" means second, and so on. "L100100" is NOT a first printing, despite other sellers' claims.The spine and corners are well ...worn, but interior is in excellent condition. Front cover creased and corners are rubbed. While binding is intact, the bottom half of the spine's covering is gone.No writing or stickers on covers or on inside pages. No torn or creased pages. A very small amount of soiling on some pages along the edges in spots or at the spine - the worst example of which is shown in photos.
