Built for only 4 years 1990 through 1993 these are rare bikes. Built to compete with Honda's excellent XR650R, these bikes were quicker due to Kawasaki's HT valve technology & liquid cooling. These bikes put their big 4-stroke power to the ground with the front end in the air. Not to be confused with Kawasaki's KLR650, these KLX's were extremely fast race bikes by comparison. 'C' designation stood for Competition.ABOUT THIS BIKE: Forks were just rebuilt w/new seals & oil, and rear KYB shock was just rebuilt w/new seal head, oil, nitrogen charge, & rubber bumper. Great running bike has had carb rebuilt, along with front/rear brakes rebuilt. Engine starts very easy and runs excellent. This is a very fast bike! All new graphics. New brakes. Baja Pro pipe & silencer. Decent original plastic. Newer seat cover. Excellent radiators. Excellent aluminum bars, controls, grips. Newer street legal dual-sport tires. NEW lower fork guards. Original rims/wheels nice and straight--small dings. Aftermarket hand guards. Aluminum skid plate. Zero hours on bike since completion.
All lights work, as well as rear brake light (foot lever activated). New mirror. Could be made street legal quite easily (add a squeezy bulb horn in most states-- that's it). Runs very strong--these are really fast bikes. The automatic compression release works great, but it is a little noisy when running. CALL ME if you don't understand. Also, the front wheel needs trueing. Otherwise this is a great bike.
