Vintage Sterling Silver ZIPPO LIGHTER Very Rare Pre WWII PINSTRIPE 925 1940’s. very old lighter. Has vertical line decoration. there is no flint, but the flint wheel spins when turned. I believe this is from the 1940's based on the bottom stamp and insert. The lid still snaps open and snaps shut The hinge is quite tight and appears to have been repaired at some point by Zippo. I base this on a small number scratched on the inside of the lid, the number of barrels in the hinge, the ti...ghtness, and the evidence of some work being done. see pics. Maybe an expert on here can correct me on some of this. I tried to show as many different angles as possible. This is a used lighter, and shows some wear consistent with use, age, and storage, see pics. I never attempt to clean, modify, or repair any items. They are listed as found. Still has the famous Zippo click, which sounds quite unique because it's silver. I will be selling some other lighters and vintage items, so be sure to check out other listings and keep checking.
