VINT. OHM - 38 OLD GRIST MILL OIL RAIN LAMP, W/INSTRUCTIONS & MINERAL OIL

You are bidding on a Vintage and Rare OIL RAIN LAMP, that is in very good condition. It was made around the 1960's, by SHOWER LITE CREATORS, INC., CHICAGO ILLINOIS. It has a Bronze brushed finish with approximately a 11 foot Brass Chain, and a 13 foot Matching colored Cord, with an ON -OFF in line switch. (Here is a little History about the Lamp). I bought the Lamp at an estate auction, and I asked the Daughter of the former owners, (Her Parents) if she knew how old it was. She ...didn't know for sure, she remembers it from maybe 1970's or 80's, but she knew it wasn't used much. She said it hung in the corner by her Dads favorite chair in the Living Room. But, he didn't use it much, because it wasn't enough light for him to read his newspaper, and when she didn't see it anymore, she just figured it was tossed out, which was fine with her, but it was found in a box in the basement, with no oil in it. With no oil in it at the auction they didn't even turn it on, for fear of burning out the pump. I bought it, and on the way home I stopped and bought a bottle of Mineral Oil for it, took it home, cleaned it up, added the oil, and both the light and the pump work like it was never used, or used very little, so it is in good working condition. The oil beads down like rain on all the lines and at the same time, the oil also turns the Grinding wheel on the Mill. It has the original Instruction Pamphlet with it. I have the oil back in the bottle and it will be sent along, just pour it in the base pot. I am also sending along an unopened package of new ceiling hooks with both the toggle bolts and the wood screws for either the ceiling wood or drywall, depending on where you mount it. If you never had an Oil Rain Lamp, your going to love it.
